Jaspreet Mohan Singh

Jaspreet Mohan Singh (born 26th of May, 1960) is a full-time artist, aside from teaching painting. He worked as an Arts Teacher and eventually retired as a Principal. Teaching has always been his passion since the beginning and continues to be so to this day.

He has observed in life that everyone is born with some special talent. He was not an exception. No one in his family was an artist, although he came from a well-educated family. However, he was very sensitive towards the visual world and had a strong inclination towards copying objects from nature, as he was intrigued by their existence. This marked the beginning of his journey as an artist. In college, he chose fine art as his subject for graduation, where Professor Bharat Bhushan Bharti inspired him to pursue his post-graduation in Fine Arts in 1981. This became the foundation of his career as an artist and art teacher.

His preferred style of painting is generally abstract expressionism, although as a teacher, he has to work with different mediums and styles. He enjoys experimenting with various mediums such as oil colors, acrylics, and watercolors. Lately, he has developed a preference for painting with acrylics.
